India without Indians

While reading an e-paper something dubious struck me- India celebrated its 64th Republic Day on 26 January 2013. Was it true? Did India really celebrate its Republic Day on that specific date? I searched Google, opened Facebook and looked for some more e-papers. Surprisingly,  India celebrated its Republic Day on 26 January 2013 and even called dignitaries from other (neighboring) countries as state guest to witness the ridicule.

Still, I wasn’t convinced; this time I looked for better alternatives and browsed quality blogs. Now, I found the missing link that connected all the dots. India without Indians celebrated the republic day. Politicians, Bureaucrats, Businessmen and Government officials were all present while Indian Flag was unfurled except the Indians.

Three questions are bound to arise in your mind. Aren’t the puppets of democracy mention above Indians? Why aren’t the Indians celebrating their own Republic Day? What are Indians unto at by skipping Republic Day? The answer is simple and precise. Pumpkins don’t waste such beneficial moments and other present were duty bounded.

And, for Indians, it wasn’t a momentous day. For them it was yet another day to fight with all odds to win their daily bread. Indians were scattered in either hunt for living or busy fighting for justice. Few intellectuals among them were speaking for liberty of expression, belief and faith, and others demanding equality of status and opportunity.  In all they weren’t celebrating Republic Day. Indians were busy adapting themselves with increasing level of corruption, crimes and religious intolerance. They were happily engaged with either cricket or bollywood.

Sadly, they weren't celebrating their own Republic Day!

A New International India

Subhas Chandra Bose and many others were adamantly opposed to a standing army. Army’s not only eats away the countries money but also takes its blood. And it just keeps getting worse, politician may say that armed personal are there to defend our freedom but in reality they are fighting and dying to make the rich richer and create endless new enemies for the state.

How can any government justify spending 2.8% of countries GDP on defense related purpose when still after 62 years of Independence we are looked down as a poor country? We have people been starving for millions of years and instead of giving them a better future our country spends billions for becoming a super power and competing in a mad race of power, fame and money.

Why don’t we declare India an international country? Isn’t it wise to drop the boundaries, all passport limitation and disbanding the army? India should declare that it is no longer a nation, that it belongs to the whole world. We truly know the fact that wining a war against China, Russia or America is out of the cards for us. As a matter of fact China already occupies thousands of miles of our land and India has not even the guts to ask them for the speedy return of that land.

Jawaharlal Nehru once said, "That land is useless, not even grass grows there." So if not even grass grows there and it is useless, why did we go to war in the first place? We should have told the Chinese that you can occupy as much as you can. Not even grass grows. We give it to you as a gift. Wasn’t that would have been more gentlemanly—to give it to them as a gift, rather than to be defeated.

So when we cannot win the conventional war why not take some other course? We should declare that from henceforth we won’t be maintaining any army, will be sending all the troops to fields or factories and for doing public good. We have been attacked in our past, so our arms and armies don't help.

People will argue that in such a situation India will become an easy target for anyone to attack but even now we live in such a hostile environment where anybody can attack us—what difference does it make? Even the biggest powers have been attacked. We have seen powerful and mighty nations like Germany and Japan being defeated.

In fact, then to attack India will become extremely difficult because there will be a worldwide condemnation. A country, who declares itself defenseless, drops its arms and goes to the fields and the factories, welcomes everybody who wants to come, to invest and to bring industries. It will be almost impossible for anybody to attack India because the whole world will be against that attacker.

We will garnish so much sympathy and support worldwide that no country will dare to harm us.

Rising Oil Prices

Government of India in order to bring local oil prices in an accord with the international market increased the diesel prices last week after a long hiatus. Last time the petrol prices were raised just after the commencement of voting in five states, raising many eyebrows and doubting government intentions. The government cannot solely be blamed for the opportunistic behaviour, as every ruling party in the country has followed the same way of thinking.

"When it comes to political opposition, the ideology matters less."

Never missing the chance to bully the government, the opposition parties throughout the county used the stand of the government to cry out loud against the union wrong economic policies and took out protest movements to show the unrest in the minds of people. Majority of the protest sites were in the states ruled by the opposition parties and in other places they disobeyed the local administration orders thus overall disrupting the normal life of people.

Do such protests yield any result?
Should government roll back the oil price hike?

As already stated, such protests are politically motivated and have no or little public support. Such protests are not more than the demonstration of power by the opposition. And in the recent case it looks like the power of opposition has slipped only to the states being ruled by them. A call for the full day closure of the country hurts the country economic stature badly which subsequently adds to the inflation and burdens the tax-payer. So in no way whatsoever protests like the last week yield desired results.

Government of India by increasing the oil prices at this crucial juncture added nails to its coffin. Yet, it seems to be a much thought of process. Economically it’s a move to provide some air of relief to the debt ridden oil companies. Politically government knows that none of the opposition party including the NDA is in a better situation to demand for early parliamentary elections which are scheduled for 2014. And the government cleverly knows the fact that the Indian voter if once bombarded with lavish pre-election promises forgives the past mistakes. If the government rolls back the price hike then it will again become a laughing stock before the opposition.

So what’s the solution?

Amazingly, the production of oil from the Middle East over the years has increased still the supply lacks far behind the demand. In my earlier post on the petrol price hike I wrote on how to limit your transportation cost and switching to eco-friendly ways while travelling. Use of public transports must be encouraged and private vehicles must only be used at when utmost desired. Bicycles prove to be the cheapest and eco-friendly mode of transportation for small distances. Use of public transports and bicycles will surely help in reducing the burden on the refineries and will somehow assist in saving the ailing environment.

Corruption: Part 1

Over the last few months the word Corruption is been consistently in the news. The word baffled me enough to look for its actual meaning. And, I must say that no other site would quench your thirst better then the Wikipedia.
We must comprehend our-self with few basic things before showing our support for mass movements like the one we witnessed last week. Never get carry away with such movements. We should bind this in our mind that wiping out an evil like corruption will take years. Yet, movements against social evils like corruption acts as an igniter and more of a catalyst to start a process which will definitely yield an output in the long run.
Wikipedia informed me that corruption is of several types; it may be a political, social, police, spiritual, corporate, linguistic, etc. More of I came to know that the most common type of corruption is Political. And, in a democratic country like ours the political corruption is the root cause of all other corruption. So if we truly want to throw off corruption from our country than we must strive hard to bring a political change.
Sometimes, I get tormented by an illogical reasoning that corruption follows a lower order hierarchy i.e. from bottom to top. Such type of baseless thinking is totally inane. A middle class person never gives bribe to an official willingly. He succumbs to the pressure and compromises with the corrupt system. Even, the official taking bribe is under constant pressure to supply funds to his senior. And, this cycle continues to only end after reaching a minister. That means for eradicating corruption we must eradicate corrupt ministers as he/she is the only person who favors corruption willingly.
Voting alone has the power of bringing a positive change in the democracy. We must thank our constitution makers who bestowed us with this precious gift. But, every boon comes with an equal responsibility. If we don’t vote than we lose our moral right of speaking against the government.
I found a two-fold use of voting when I came to know about several districts in moist affected areas where people boycotted the last general elections. We must declare that if in 5 years time the ruling political party fails to live onto the people expectations or the promises which they did before coming into power remains unfulfilled than there will be a country wide boycott of the general elections.
Another way is to crisp up the things. We must force the government in bringing out a law that will accuse the major political party running the government of carelessness if any during the 5 year tenure which will further result in cancellation of nomination paper of the MP’s of the concerned party in the next general elections.
Next Part will throw more insight on the topic Corruption. Click here to read it

World Cup ’11: A Weakest Review

Finally, the most awaited dream of the every cricket fan of this country where cricket is practiced like the first religion was fulfilled when Mahindra Singh Dhoni smashed the ball for a long six into the crowd in his very own helicopter style. The wait is over and the cup is ours after 28 long years.

In between we had our chances of ups and downs but were never able to bring the cup back in our courtyard. Now, we are the champions for at least four years. Critics raised eyes on many-a-times on the decision taken up by the skipper Mahindra Singh Dhoni, but always his management of team kept all of them at bay.

This cup symbolizes not only a great victory and teamwork but also it shows the world and the country the importance of small towns. The scenario in the country has changed, due to rapid industrialization and development once small towns have risen up to a level to get engrossed with a feeling of competiveness. These small towns will soon become the modern day Delhi or Mumbai and will shine like any other developed city.

Winning Cricket World Cup 2011 was a very proud and yet emotional moment for the Little Master Sachin Tendulkar. Every record in the cricketing book is under his name yet he had to digest the painful fact that his team had never won the Cup. It’s not like as if though India had never been close to a World Cup win in between all this 28 years. In one of the occasion we reached the semis and then in 2003 we were the runner-ups as we lost to the much better side, the Aussies, in the finals.

Indian team had the inherent advantage of playing on the home ground but tackling pressure in one’s own country was never an easy task. Also from the day one we were the favorites of not only the Indian media but also of the foreign media, which further aggravated the pressure. So credit must go to each and every member of the team and the management for the way they handled such an immense pressure.

I know we won this cup just because of the sheer skill and talent of our playing eleven but, we must never forget the important roles played by many other players from time to time in making this dream come true. Contribution from players like Saurav, Srinath, Kumble, Kaif, Agarkar, Laxman, Dravid, Jadeja, Robin Singh, and Prasad to name few must never be forgotten. This cup belongs to all of them as much as it belongs to the playing eleven.

I don’t know whether our PM would agree with this or not but certainly cricket provided him the much needed respite he was looking for from so many days. Cricket diverted even the attention of the sharp-eyed opposition for the time-being. Yet, our politicians never underestimated the power of cricket and used it wisely to suit their political career.

One thing I love the most about cricket is its social influence. Nothing binds us as strongly as cricket does, which was quite apparent in this six weeks. Never for once I heard the Shiv Sainiks and their sister organization restricting a North Indian from coming to Mumbai for watching the finals.

But then, I find it quite painful and hard to digest whenever I read news stating various state governments and PSU’s announcing gifts worth millions. Isn’t all this money the same which we borrowed from the World Bank? So the money which was in reality must have been used for the various development programs now is been used otherwise to make a multi-millionaire become a billionaire. Also, I guess most of our PSU’s are in a very bad taste and are undergoing the process of disinvestment to raise money. So from where the hell are they going to sustain the cost of liberties which they gifted otherwise?

It was really heartbreaking when I saw the whole stadium doing boo in Quarter final match against Australians when Ponting got out instead of raising their hands in unison for greeting such a splendid knock. Also, the jingoism associated with the Pakistan match and all those messages circulating hysteria backed by the corporate giants ebb the true sporting feeling of the cricket. The skyrocketing price of the tickets for the stadium baffles me up.  Words from my gatekeeper truly symbolize this, he says… “Yeh sab Amiro ke chochle hain bhai g”.

To end this post I must again congratulate MSD for his brilliant captaincy, team management for backing and providing the team with the support they needed and all the players who made us proud.

A week that went by

"How many proposes?"... a fellow hosteller asked me.

"No one…"  I replied.

He gave me a bizarre look and left. Thanks buddy for that droll look, which eventually acted as an inspiration. I don’t guarantee you of finding something valuable here. Moreover this post is an act of self evaluation I undergone last week.

You might have kept a distant from the week of love if you had died a decade ago. But, there is no way to keep it at bay nowadays, thanks to our dailies (TOI, Hindustan, and Express to name few) that don’t miss a chance to monetize love through a one page advertisement.

Last week would have been great financially for vendors selling roses and wholesale teddies. I don’t think I should mention about Chocolates manufacturing companies. I never make it out why people are so desperate to eat an insecticide. This year was no exception to all those years of ignorance which was the root cause of still mine being single. I would rather love to blog, read newspapers and drink tea than circle around a girl hostel.

Last week was bit tempering; I had restless nights and vacuous days. I’m in my third year of engineering and yet my future bewilders me. Meanwhile, the Incubation cell which I launched few months back with the support of Hasmeet Singh is planning for an Idea Conference in coming weeks with the support of Thoughtberg. Let’s see when the whole thing gets materialize.

Last week was of much importance as far as the world politics is concerned. You guess it right; I’m talking about the Egyptian Revolution. I know, it has been weeks since the people of Egypt’s have taken demonstrations to the streets. Yet, last week Husni Mubarak speech was crucial and had significant effect. I wish something similar would have happen in India.

Afghanistan Current Position Part 2

I never thought of writing a second part but there’s an old saying “Never say Never”. This post is in continuation with my last post which was about Afghanistan Current Position. People doubted my integrity and took me as pro-Taliban. This post will clear there doubt and will help in creating a clear picture.

In my last article about Afghanistan I never said that Taliban role as a violent organization can be justified. Violence in any form can never be justified. I only meant that USA and its allies should look for a better alternative for finding a peaceful solution to Afghan problem. Also, everyone know that Taliban was a brainchild of western powers who thought that such an organization would help them in their vested interest, mainly in fight against the yesteryear USSR. Taliban was formed on religious lines and so has religious upbringing. It’s always hard to break people with religious attitude.

One can easily find it on internet that from where such an organization used to receive its funds and arms supply. It seems quite perplexing that same organization for most of its upbringing received enormous funds from the very same sources that now condemned its activities because now the organization uses its own mind and tactics. Isn’t it confusing?

Lastly, forces were sent in Afghanistan to look for a specific person. If after nearly a decade of failed invasion the Americans aren’t able to locate Osama Bin Laden then they must retreat back. As far as Taliban is concerned I guess it’s upon the government of Indian Subcontinent and Central Asia to come up with a joint effort to eradicate its basic root cause.

An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.

Kashmir: The Troubled Frontier

Yesterday, I read a news article about the ongoing debate whether the Kashmir is an integral part of India or not. A noted novelist had made a comment saying Kashmir was never a part of India and now it’s the right time for Indian government to liberate it. This post contains mine observation regarding the mention topic.

Britishers brought in with them a centralized form of governance. They united all big and small princely states under one umbrella; in simple language they unified the great Indian Subcontinent. But, Britishers unlike Mughals never invaded India with a motive of being a part of it; instead they only wanted to loot its immense wealth. They can be compared with modern day Taliban. Only difference was that the Britishers were an organized army of robbers.

So, after World War 2 when the world power scenario changed and it became difficult (almost impossible) to rule India, Britishers came up with a new ideology. They could have transformed the power as was vested in the hands of Britishers. But, they went ahead with a new idea of handing over the power to group of people from each community or religion. It was not just the Britishers but also the Allied forces who never wanted to leave the great Indian Subcontinent. They knew that this land had all the elements to become world power again, which could be a trouble for them in future. As a matter of fact, they still control the politics of some countries of the region like Afghanistan and Pakistan. So, they coined the theory of partitioning the country on religious lines. It was left over to rulers of princely states whether to remain with free India or go with the new state of Pakistan.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel with his group of loyal administrators did a commendable job by making most of the princely states to remain with free India either by using political pressure or by force. But, the Maharaja of Kashmir was an ambitious and very arrogant man. He neither wanted to be a part of free India or the new state of Pakistan. In-fact, he wanted to divide India further by making Kashmir a third country to be formed beside Pakistan. But, soon he realized his mistake when the Mujahedeen backed by the Pakistani army attacked the princely state of Kashmir. He realized that it was better to be a part of a secular India rather than to be a part of a country like Pakistan which was formed on religious grounds. He signed the annexation papers and formally the state of Kashmir became an integral part of the Union of India. Later on, acting like a fatherly figure India gave few chunks of Kashmir to Pakistan in order to calm it down. As it is said, the greediness never goes away, so was the case here; Pakistan from the very moment of its formation wanted Kashmir to be an integral part of it. When it became clear that India has a better military then that of the Pakistan, they went ahead with the new setup. And that was building, supporting and providing logistics for cross border terrorism into the territory of India.

Two points should be made very clear: Firstly, as hyped, if the Kashmir is set free as an Independent country, sooner or later the state of Pakistan back by the China would attack it and would enslave them. In that case only one country, the Union of India, can come to their rescue. Secondly, Kashmir will have to depend on India for its resources and daily needs. They will have to import it from the Indian government. In both the scenario, India can never be detached from Kashmir.

In recent media reports I heard some of the Huriyat leaders crying about the double standard of Indian government for the Kashmir. Indian Government never treated Kashmir as an integral part of India and seen it as an outsider, they said. But, they kept mum on the special privileges and autonomy which only the state of Kashmir gets. They cry about the army Special Power Act but never for once they condemned the militancy. Also, the people who think that partition is only way for a permanent solution of the Kashmir problem must for once look at the state of Pakistan.

Lastly, Kashmir was, is and will always be an integral part of the Union of India.

Afghanistan Current Position

This article contains the objective outlook of what I perceived about the Afghanistan problem.

After going through many sources available across the internet I felt, defeating the Taliban militarily with current strategy of coalition forces is unrealistic. It will be very tough job for them in near future even to retain their current controlled areas, which will substantially need addition of more forces.  So the idea of moving out forces from Afghanistan looks a distant reality.

Also, the USA should dictate a political solution to Afghanistan problem rather than militarily by gaining confidence of various Afghan factions. The basic ideology behind the Taliban should be understood first. It’s sad that nearly after a decade of war still the NATO forces look them as terrorist. They should be treated as extremists who have certain fears regarding the power sharing. This can be solved politically by making them a part of democratic process.

It seems the Afghan government is not fully dedicated in clearing out the Taliban. They receive huge amount of funds from the various world organizations for rebuilding process and fighting the insurgent groups. And, if the Taliban gets wipe out then there will be a substantial reduction in the inflow of funds which the Afghan government fears off. It also looks, as if though the Americans are not interested in getting out of Afghan. The Afghan has a very important strategic location as it is a part of central Asia which has vast amounts of natural resources particularly the natural gas. So might be Americans are interested in ruling the vast Afghan natural reserves.

The idea of partitioning the country on the ethnic lines can be disastrous as propagated by few high profile people in the coalition establishment. It can create a new theme of nationalization among Afghan people in which Taliban can be looked as a patriotic organization who is against the international and coalition party’s action of destabilizing the country.  It could also create a lawless state along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border which could provide a safe haven for Jihadis groups which can prove fatal not only to western powers but also to neighboring countries like India and Iran.

The Taliban is taking control of more and more of rural populace and the Afghan government administration is getting restricted to only urban areas.  For the Americans, the idea of withdrawal of forces in the summer 2011 looks impossible rather it will be necessary to send in reinforcements to counter the rising insurgency and withdrawal of European forces.

Recent attacks on the foreign people in Afghanistan who are there for rebuilding process has led to increase in fear among several countries day by day. This matter should be looked into seriously.

Are there any Indians left?

Yesterday I got an sms from Johny and it exposes the true nature of so called unity in diversity. We Indians are so proud in our unity in diversity, of our mega size country, several states with various different areas of interest. Even some of us want our once part Pakistan & Bangladesh to again get united with us. But have we learn any lesson from our past, from our history, from the worlds biggest human migration… our PARTITION. What was the major cause behind our country getting partitioned?

NO… not the britishers.

They only did good what was good for them and everyone does so.

The reason behind our separation was we never stood like Indians, we always give preference to ourselves of  being Hindu or Muslim or belonging to some other religion.

Just ask any Indian from where he hails too and he will give you the name of any part of the country but he won’t say I am an INDIAN and I hail from the whole country not just any particular part.

When there are racists attack on Indians in foreign countries then so many organizations and many people stood to raise there voice against such barbaric things. But what about the racism which every Indian faces when he moves from one part of the country to another. We call south Indians as Madrasi, there are several jokes on sardars, people from the Hindi heartland are called bhaiyas,Indians who live in hilly areas are called nepali, bahadur or chinkis.. blah blah blah.

So why can’t we call every Indian as only Indian. When we are one country then why people object on the migration of people within the country.

Why the held our politicians are busy in making newer states? When they can’t govern the states then why they contest the elections?

Who says India is not a rich country? Our government spends too much money on some stupid things, can’t understand it at all, making parks and monuments, changing name of the cities, spending crores on several commissions and much more.

Only one thing to end this dialogue…

Jaago Bhartiyun, Jaago..!!!

National shame

We Indians have this peculiar habit of insulting ourselves better then the others. We have few things of national importance which we should respect and should always strive hard to protect them and one such thing is our National anthem 'Jan Gan Man'. But what are we doing with it, we sing it everywhere, anytime, in any manner without knowing the rules of how to sing it. I know some people will say that hey were not aware about any rules regarding national anthem. I can understand t if they are illiterate people but what about those people who are learned illiterate, what excuse will they give.
People should have some respect towards our national symbols. They are our identity, by them only the other people around the globe recognizes us and respect us and if we only behave in such a childish idiotic way then who will care for us. National anthem binds us in one fabric, it reflects the unity in diversity of the great India.
It hurts when some one say what will happen if I will sing the song under the roof without knowing the damage he is doing to himself only because if we do any damage to our country then it i will directly effect us.

Jana-gana-mana-adhinayaka, jaya he
Bharata-bhagya-vidhata.
Punjab-Sindh-Gujarat-Maratha
Dravida-Utkala-Banga
Vindhya-Himachala-Yamuna-Ganga
Uchchala-Jaladhi-taranga.
Tava shubha name jage,
Tava shubha asisa mange,
Gahe tava jaya gatha,
Jana-gana-mangala-dayaka jaya he
Bharata-bhagya-vidhata.
Jaya he, jaya he, jaya he,
Jaya jaya jaya, jaya he!

The following is Tagore's English rendering of the anthem:

Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sind,
Gujarat and Maratha,
Of the Dravida and Orissa and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
mingles in the music of Jamuna and Ganges and is
chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.
They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise.
The saving of all people waits in thy hand,
Thou dispenser of India's destiny.
Victory, victory, victory to thee.

But there is no objection to the singing of the Anthem accompanied by mass singing so long as it is done with due respect as a salutation to the motherland and proper decorum is maintained.
5.In all schools, the day's work may begin with community singing of the anthem. School authorities should make adequate provision in their programmes for popularising the singing of the Anthem and promoting respect for the National Flag among students.
General
1.Whenever the Anthem is sung or played, the audience shall stand to attention. However, when in the course of a newsreel or documentary the Anthem is played as a part of the film, it is not expected of the audience to stand as standing is bound to interrupt the exhibition of the film and would create disorder and confusion rather than add to the dignity of the Anthem.
2.As in the case of the flying of the National Flag, it has been left to the good sense of the people not to indulge in indiscriminate singing or playing of the Anthem.

My Name Is Khan...!!

My name is Khan is a splendid movie, must watch for all the movie freek(like I am). It conveys two messages, one directly and the other indirectly. Well, the direct message will be easily spread by the media and the other who will watch the movie that not all Muslim's are terrorist. But I am afraid about the second message. Its not deep hidden in the movie but quite contrary to it, its the most spoken thing in the movie. But we humans have this tendency to miss something which is most said to us.
So, my dear countrymen its the simple thing that after many years of new attitude in our world politics, we cannot meet the person who actually run them. Take an example of our country, many of the soldier's are dieing or rather put to death in various parts of our country, farmers are committing suicide and students hang themselves and if any one of us( by us I mean WE the INDIANS) want to meet our prime minister or even our MLA to let them know what are our problems and what can be done for removing them can never actually do so because of his some x, y or z security.
Thank God that Panditji is no more to see his fellow junior politicians so much frightened up by some rudely brother (or angry i must add here) comments.

INDIA of my dreams

Well tomorrow i have to give a 1 min. speech on this topic so i thought of sharing it in my blog. In 1 min. i think i might be able to speak around one and a half page with full expression an zeal. So here I am

India of my dreams.. India the largest and biggest democracy in the world, an emerging technological hub and lots of development going on yet full of corruption. People still fight on the linguistic dimensions , education and medicines still remain for most country men unaffordable. Yet our PM says we are developing. Media busy in highlighting the previous day night parties and politicians busy on making the democracy "Gunda raaj".
I want India to be self reliable, free from any defects mention earlier. A country where surname doesn't depicts the caste of a person. No demarcations between fellow Indian's on the basis of language, caste, creed, sex, and work. Where its ministers can meet its people fearlessly. A place where education comes first. A Country where voters use their franchise on the basis of the leader's potential to help its people and not because he is a son of the ruling party.
Rabindranath Tagore expressed it beautifully in his words:
"Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth;c

youth for equality

Youth for equality..well i choosed such an title 'coz i want to generate the feelings in the youths especially in fellow Indians that now the time has come to stand united and fight against the evil government and its policies which directly or indirectly effects us. We all know how the government played its policy of appeasement and provided quota's too the soo called backward classes and scheduled castes/tribes. I ask a question from this forum too our great planner's that by always letting a person having some reservations how the government can eliminate the caste biased society of our's. The government is playing the game by which they want to divide this society into castes and religions. If a person of ST suppose gets a seat in higher education just 'coz of his caste then for his whol life his friends, his acquintances and more importantly his soul will not let him forget that he had been born in a ST family.

Moreover, instead of giving quota's government should provide the backward people( by economy) funds so that they can go for higher education. If a general category student won't be able to get a seat just 'coz of his caste then for his whole life he will hate backward caste people, hence acting on the government policy of hatred. Instead none should go for demanding reservation. Everyone should darken general block in his/er form.

Can't we re-unite Again?

India and Pakistan... ahh the brothers separated by a boundary of hatred.

Why cant we unite again by forgetting our past?

This will not be the first case in the history where two countries have united again.  Brutish Britishers and incompetency of our leaders malign our country to such a level where partitioned was the only respite. But, that was more than 63 years ago. So, don't you think it's the right time to burn our hatred and join hands together for a better future?

The hysteresis of partition led to several wars fought in between the two countries hindering the progress of both the nations. Also, cross border terrorism and trafficking led to several other problems which are by no means good for any of the country. Instead of peace talks why not our policy maker's device a policy forming a single nation again.

Why not bring Sri Lanka, Bangaldesh, and Bhutan also a beneficiary of the treaty. I know there is an organization named SAARC, but we all know that it only exists in conference hall and in big talks. I haven't included Nepal because informally they are a part of India.

The new country can be called as the INDIAN SUBCONTINENT. The country capital can be shifted to Mumbai or New Delhi can continue to hold its stature. Democracy should prevail in such a re-union.

Well I know such a policy and plan will never come into the minds of our politician's and media because if such a plan is implemented then for what will they ask vote for, as in our country and also in our neighborhood the politics of hatred is only carried out. Also media won't let such a plan be implemented 'coz that will remove their basic news- terrorism and news of folly.
