Obama V/s Osama: Clash Of Titans

A lot has been said and written about the concerned topic yet when Vanya asked me to pen down an article on the same topic I couldn’t resist her spark and so finally succumbed to her pressure.

It may seem easy to pen down an article on something eminent but the mere possibility of susceptible readers makes it difficult. The topic most talk about remain afresh into the minds of people and so anything said or done with respect to those topics are sure to get into an intellectual comparison which undoubtedly increases the pressure on a writer, in this case me, manifold.

Barack Hussein Obama II, or simply Obama, is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. Obama, a law graduate is known for his civil right work he did in Chicago. Obama’s positive and combatant attitude led him to the post of President after losing the same earlier. He once said the three men he admired the most were Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King.

Being an excellent orator he knows the importance of 2W’s approach of good communication i.e. what and when to speak. It seems like other American Presidents Obama too has this peculiar habit of feeling that the world is not a perfect place to live which makes him force his so called idealistic goals and vision on the less perfect countries, often leading to disagreement and discord. Obama seem to be a sensitive man and take on things as a matter of pride which compelled him to finally trace, seize and kill Osama.

Obama and Osama names have much the same spelling, their undue desire to rule the world and their importance in the history classes makes them none but all similar to each other. Not only this but also several other similarities make them look-a-like. Few of their similarities were their never ending desire to succeed.

Osama, like Obama, was a great orator and knows exactly how to play with his words which made him a messiah of Islamic world and a saviour of Islam religion in general. He was deeply engrossed in his cause that the path he choose mattered less for him.

Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, or simply Osama, was the founder of the dreaded terrorist organization the Al-Qaeda. He wasn’t like the other terrorists and was much educated (it never means that I keep record of other terrorists’ educational background). He studied economics and business and even some reports suggest that he earned a degree in civil engineering and public administration. Like Obama, Osama was also inclined in charitable work from his university days and could be easily located interpreting the Quran and jihad in the college campus.

Both Obama and Osama considered each other as hardliner; whilst former accused the latter as misinterpreting Islam, the latter charged the former with conspiracy theory of eliminating Muslims, looting Muslim wealth and irreverence towards the Islam religion.

The only difference in them seems to be the iconic use of religion in Osama’s life. One’s the dearest of all in fight against the Russians dramatically became the most hated person for the Americans. Osama escaped the fury of two American presidents but yielded his breath to the motivational Obama presidential pledge where he promised to kill bin Laden and crush Al-Qaeda.

It’s all about Blogging Honey

It’s been quite long around eight months to be precise since I’m an active member of this creatively sane blogosphere and around one and a half year being passively present here yet I’m still a newbie. No matter how much water you extract from sea, it will never become dry; such is the case with blogging, so please stop doubting my intelligentsia. I learned a lot through my small world of blogs whether I was actively or passively involved still a lot remains yet to be conquered.

"No matter how much water you extract from sea, it will never become dry"

What you think why a nerd like me started blogging? Is it for the sheer love of reading other people stories and at least imagining in my tender thoughts that somewhere in the world someone will be interested in knowing my mind? Mr. Intelligent you are on the wrong lane; blogging was suggested by my dearest di Ritu as an alternative to killing time instead of wasting it doing nothing. And, than I felt in love with it, from just a time pass it became a passion.

Blogging changed me a lot, just have a look at some of my first posts and compare them with the newer ones and you will easily know the transformation which I underwent. I term Weakest Link as a personal blog because it all started as an online diary of personal thoughts and events. But, during the course of time the social thoughts took over their counterparts i.e. the personal and without my knowing it turned from a personal blog to plethora of social happenings. It energized my inner self and helped me gain a self confidence to let the world know my opinion on subjects which matters the most.

Not only it helped me to gain self confidence but also it was the sheer force which drove me towards entrepreneurship. I started News Not Making News as a blog not as a website only because of my love towards blogging. People ask me there is nothing big and complex about the idea behind News Not Making News so how I think it will last the tough times? To all those intruding personalities, every big and successful enterprise started with a simple idea because it’s the simplest things in life that matters the most which we happen to forget the most.

It’s not the money but the satisfaction of work which matters the most in life. I met many new friends over this wonderful blogosphere. I know them not by their education, profession, career or any other worldly thing but by their incredible thoughts which they pen down in the form of articles or posts. I humbly thank to all those exceptionally true blogger friends who draw such a vivid picture of their life through their wondrous posts.

May be life hardest realities take away my cherished treasure, blogging, away from me yet the fire will always burn deep inside my heart.

Happy blogging!

Scoliodentosaurophobia

Let me ease it out for all those who are still configuring what the title is all about, Scoliodentosaurophobia is the phobia of lizards. To be more precise it’s an extreme fear of lizards in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding it despite the fear, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational.

Hey, what are you thinking? Does Rachit suffer from some weird spell phobia?

It’s hard to accept the truth but even harder to hide (being a blogger), so before we move further into the post I must confess before the world of blogosphere that yeah I suffer from this strange Scoliodentosaurophobia. And, please don’t simper around.

Whenever I see a lizard I just tremble, sweat excessively and get intense anxiety attack. I don’t fear of snakes or other reptiles but when it comes to lizards I freeze around. I know their zoological importance as devoid of lizards the population of insects will increase manifold without any checks and will create a severe problem. Yet, I can’t stand their presence.

It’s a surprise for me when I found few species of lizards like Savannah Monitor, the blue tongued skink, etc. can be tamed and kept as pet. And people, I’m not the only one who suffers from the fear of lizards; a survey predicted that around 250,000 people in America suffer from Scoliodentosaurophobia alone.

Meanwhile, I’m into a new arena of entrepreneurship with my first start-up News Not Making News aka N2MN.  It’s just been a week since its inception and so quite hard to predict where it all will lead yet the joy of seeing your raw idea furnishing into a reality is immense.

Watch your actions

Yesterday while watching a Sunny Deol starrer movie, a dialogue of his co-actor caught mine utmost attention. The dialogue emphasized on mastering one’s anger before it becomes dreadful. And, I truly believe in managing and regulating our anger. Anger if not controlled becomes our worst enemy. It’s a two-sided sword which injures its user more than the person unto which it was angled. Even the top-notch MNC’s recruit counselors to look after anger management of their employees.

Having being monstrously taught about transducers I felt the need of using one’s anger efficiently for some useful purposes. I was flabbergasted when I Goggled and found that research is being under taken at various universities throughout the world to transform the raw energy in a person while he is angry for producing power to light a bulb. Isn’t it amazing?

Still, I’m lingering far away from the actual topic which I wanted to bring forward through this post. You don’t need to be a historian to see that at times world history has been changed and turned upside down just by the wrong actions of few lunatic and brutish people.

If the young British officer had thought twice before throwing Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi out of the train in South Africa than British government not only in South Africa but also in India would have left unhurt from the wave of Mahatma. Hitler was a great leader, orator and a patriot yet he committed suicide all because of his heinous crimes. He could have gained the reputation of a national hero if his actions would have been constructive.

Before plunging into a deal one should always try to look into the consequences which may occur. It’s of no use to cry over spilt milk. Actions once have done leads to equal reactions.

Do unto others as you would have loved others do unto you’.

The other day I was watching a video of Neil Pasricha of 1000 awesome things fame, where he gave a brilliant insight about the three A’s of life. Sitting examples from his personal life he articulated the importance of a positive attitude, awareness and authenticity as the three A’s of an awesome life. A successful person always has a positive attitude. He is someone who is more aware of his surroundings, work, family and future than any other person. His each and every action is authentic till the last limit and all this in unison makes him a noteworthy person.

Change your attitude!
When you change your attitude,
You change your behavior;
When you change your behavior,
You change your performance;
When you change your performance,
You change your life!

India-Pakistan - New Solution?

Pakistan, officially known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, declares itself to be a sovereign state in South Asia.  Geographically speaking it is located in a strategic position between South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East. The two South Asian Giants viz. China and India borders the landmass of Pakistan, though its relationship with the latter is often disputed.

India was partitioned on religious lines because of the widespread resentment created in the minds of Muslims by the Muslim League leading to the formation of Pakistan on August 14th, 1947 after gaining Independence from the British rule. The basic notion behind Pakistan was to create a pure land free from the infidels only for the Muslim populace.

Thus, by accepting the demand of Pakistan the Indian leaders and the British anarchy accepted the demand of a separate land only for the Muslims. This led to a false impression that the new independent India thus chalked off will be a Hindu dominion state.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah soon after the formation of Pakistan surprised everyone when he declared Pakistan open for all religious beliefs and won’t propagate any state religion, thus following the path of secularism. If secularism had to be preached in Pakistan than their was no need of asking for Direct Action Day which caused a homicide on the streets of Calcutta and elsewhere. Dramatic twists and turns in the political arena in Pakistan resulted in a declaration which finally made Pakistan an Islamic State.

So, India was divided into religious lines in two different states, or rather three if Bangladesh is also taken into account. The declaration proposed by the Muslim league laid down norms for the partition of the country and subsequent population exchange. Pakistan kept no stone upturn to kill its religious minorities. Literally speaking, population exchange only occurred from one side of the border i.e. from Pakistan.

Pakistan government not only created havoc in their country against the religious minorities but also incited tribals and Muslim’s from Kashmir region to kill their Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist counterparts living from centuries in the province. This led to new population geometry in the valley. Also, due to Indian government sluggish foreign policy for years, the number of Muslim refugees from Bangladesh route increased manifold which again led to change in population geometry in the eastern states.

India has the world’s second largest population to feed, still many of its citizens are illiterate and many others sleep under the open sky because they can't even afford a hut. Yet, India spends half of its GDP for defense related purposes seeking an excuse of troubled borders.

There’s something very interesting in all these. India was partitioned on religious lines to make two separate nations viz. the Hindu and the related religions like Sikh, Buddhism, and Jainism dominant Hindustan and the Muslim dominant Pakistan. But the Indian Constitution called it a secular state thus going against the norms laid down in the partition which subsequently deems to be un-recognition of the partition itself.

So, instead of having talks with Pakistan on Kashmir and other issues Indian government should un-recognize the independent state of Pakistan itself. It should proclaim whole of the Pakistan and the Bangladesh as the Indian Territory and should look into the matter not within the limits of foreign policy but under the acts of Home Ministry.

Think it Over…!

News Not Making News

News Not Making News is a website dedicated in letting the world know about news which must have been the news but lacked crispiness needed to be in the prime-time.

Commercialization of media in the last decade saw a monumental increase in the number of websites, news channel, print media, etc related with news. Yet the level of content which got published deteriorated significantly. All this led to the divergence of people from those news sites. Yet the importance of websites dedicated towards providing news in this technological era of sinking time frame cannot be ignored.

News Not Making News (from here on refer as N2MN) fills the void and works on providing the news which actually matters to the public. N2MN is completely news based website irrespective of its competitors who are more or less popularity driven. N2MN acts as a voice for the weakest section of the societies. It won’t talk of the alleged affair of a celebrity actor with his co-star or it won’t contain the news about a minister or a business tycoon buying a cricket team.

N2MN talks on issues of public importance which the younger generation has forgotten in the mist of commercialization. It lets the world know about the struggle of a farmer child who makes it to the IAS or cracks CAT despite of all the hardship which he and his family had to face.N2MN acts as a platform for the world to know about any scientific invention taking place in the villages of India. Don't take it as a other gossip column but a site committed to deliver only news.

People are consistently looking for sites which can provide them with valuable news. They want to know more and more about their city, their state and their country in quick time. N2MN will cater to those audiences who go for internet for quenching their thirst for news.
