Let not be a fool

We were having lunch together last week when a colleague of mine said that he feels everyone in this world, knowingly or unknowingly, makes every other person a fool. In school, we have been made to work on nuisance of integration-differentiation when in life it never helped. Not just in academics but in every other field- be it social, political, career, or religion, we are thought to be an easy prey who can be lured by misleading facts which are thought to be sacrosanct.

Why the social structure is so methodical? Join a school at 3, than college at 17, start working at 22, get married at 25, have kids at 28 & retire after 60? Is democracy only about electing leaders who creates rules which sets him apart from the crowd? And, why do we all fight for our religion when all these years in school we have been told that all Gods are same? Also going by the clerics God created us all, so do we need to save the Creator who created us all? Aren’t we all are here being made fools?

There could be a different dimension to it too wherein we fool the other person who tries to fool us by showing that we have accepted his beliefs which we haven’t have. We could do this for various reasons- probably for not hurting the other person, or for not stretching the fact too far. Also, it could be because we don’t have any other options other than to be made fool.

Is gyan and vigyan the same? Or in simpler words education and knowledge comparable? If they are than why vigyan is evolving and not fixed with its finding. Gyan is like water in the sea- stationery, while vigyan like river moves around different territories to join the sea in the end- as ultimate truth. When education is a source to get acquaint with knowledge than why it becomes paramount while judging others?

Might be this is how the world moves & would move, but what can an informed fool do? Either he could sit back, follow the fool chakra, & continue getting fool or he could take a stand of not getting fooled in future. Quite interestingly, its all completely black and white i.e. either you are a party to being fooled or you aren’t with nothing left to be grey. So will I, even after knowing that all this years I have been made a fool, continue to be made a fool remains a question? To jump out from this chakravyuh you not only need skill-set of Arjuna but also mentor-ship of Krishna.

You may find that I have gone mad & writing this absurd post- but wait, if that has been your learning than you are still entangled in the chakravyuh. There’s a lot to know in this world, a lot to learn and more to unlearn.

Will be back again!

Long Ago

Long Ago I met her,
She was in her teens, so did I
Charm & laughter did the magic
Love kindled, feelings blossomed

Several happy days & nights passed
Coffee talks with instant message

Intrinsic souls, Freebirds were we…
Flying high unto the mountains
Diving deep into the oceans
Entangle & untraceable

Alas! one fine day
I woke up, dreaming all along
Long Ago I met her...

Long Time

Today, unexpectedly life forced me to think why I was born? Don’t know the reason why such weird thoughts sprang up in my brain. Thought much… I did… yeah thought much… I was a near about good student, loved geography… & physics too (quantum still fascinates me to the core)… that made me go against my parents wishes when I took science as majors. Don’t know what made me choose engineering as a career path… still those were my life revolutionary days. Revolutionary... by work & by thoughts... really… I know the 13 letter word revolutionary by both meaning and essence. Don’t teach me that !

Back then, I use to have dreams of bringing on a change… something that would catapult new ideas, bring in new avenues for growth and above all motivate people for sustainable and cohesive development. Breaking the past, those were the days when nights were spend thinking IDEAS and days visualizing their flow. Cherished them !

What I am unto now? Have I lost track? Is my present strong enough to hold my future? Aren’t I’m ruining my past? Revolution… where it stands now?

My mind isn’t able to answer my soul hundred such questions. It wants to be free… free of questions… free of floodgates… that oppose its flow… flow of those beautiful thoughts that once I cherished.

…. will continue

Disclaimer : I'm a human being... I ramble too, at times !

Cryptic Me

I am more dead than alive
Frozen in the midst of pain
Restraining any flow
Interring the awaken soul

I am more bounded than free
Enslaved with closed floodgates
Callous I lay
Blemishing the heavenly soul

I am more a demon than human
Darkened by the glaze of triumph
Ravishing the sanctified trek
Alienating HIS divinity

Why Can’t I Lie?

At times in life being distracted a thought frowns at me that “Why Can’t I Lie?”
Why the unbreakable thread of innocence binds me with sullen believe?

Lust engulfs,
She messages, “Isn’t it true love”?
Being puzzle I reply,
Why Can’t I Lie?

Examination torments,
Results suffer,
Parents inquire, “How’s marks”?
Being sorry I reply,
Why Can’t I Lie?

Company’s recruits,
Destiny blackens,
Acquaintances laugh, “Where’s going”?
Being perturb I reply,
Why Can’t I Lie?

Heart sinks,
Life camouflages,
God whips, “What’s happening”?
Being crushed I reply,
Why Can’t I Lie?

Past Perfect to Present Continuous

“The darker the clouds gets, the brighter I shine to outcast the shadow.”

Was the motto of my life till few months back… my life resonated with the path of optimism & positive vibe surrounded it until I came in last year of my degree. I never knew the life will take such a drastic shift and things will shape up so differently with twists & turns all around. But then the destiny plays an important role in a person life and when it comes to me it gets eternal supreme powers to disturb the balance of life.

A month back I was a carefree happy go lucky boy without compulsions and now the mere thought of future perplexes me. The pleasurable college days are far gone and now the wicked world awaits me with an iron rod. It’s not like I’m not getting offers, but the crest for the best haunts me.

"Lately life has been a roller coaster ride with swings everywhere"

Even the only arena which somehow with unknown reasons accepted me i.e. the blogging world has become a bit intolerant with me as my last post was a disaster in terms of fellow bloggers comments. I always wrote post for the self satisfaction and will keep on doing till I get bombarded with creative thoughts.

"The more you ignore me, the better I do to survive."

There’s so much to write & read with so less time. I’m into my last semester of engineering which was quite a while ago the most awaited semester but now it seems the most dreaded one. The last sem is an off-campus sem where I have to undergo a 6 months long industrial training because a moron some 14 years back while drafting the law of All India Technical Education thought of exposing the young minds to the real world. Few months back the last sem appeared to be full of new experiences loaded with lots of learning, fun & a new life altogether. But now it appears as it would have been the best if the last semester would have never come up in such a fabulous student life.

"Memories grow more meaningful with every passing year, more cherished & more profound."

Quite true are the above lines as now I miss each & every moment of hostel life. Someday for sure I will craft a post on my hostel life. I don’t know why I came up with this post in the first place, may be at times ramblings help.

Will be back soon... happy blogging!

Once, Once & Once

Once I had a dream ,
A dream to shake the world
From the ruptures of silence
Of achieving the unattainable
& Creating a new Ethiopia !

Once I was strong ,
Compose the veracity lyrics
& Fight the serpent :))

Once it was all about me ,
Thoughts were chaotic ,
Nights were spend visualizing
& Days crawling over the dreams !

Once I was a learner ,
Passion was an obsession
& Success was an unseen necessity !

Once, Once & Once
I was with you

The Dark Reality

I don’t know why I’m unto this, it’s been quite long since I penned down something personal like the present post. May be its all because of positive vibe the Kailash Pilgrimage infused in me.

I’m unable to answer the perplexing question which my soul keeps on bouncing back again and again that why it’s always me who has to face the burden of darkest realities of the life? Why can’t I sit back and enjoy my success? Why people remember me only at the time of need? Why it’s always that the people I care for backstab me? And, why I can’t be me at times

It’s been pretty long since I cried; I believe boys are born with a hard shell which keeps their eyes at bay from being moist. Yet, today I want to scream at the fullest of my voice. I want an explanation from the Almighty today for all my grief. May be the reservoir of pain has reached its extreme limits which provokes me to behave insanely. I know I can’t be always right but then why I’m always wrong?

I’m still trying to locate the sacred knowledge which can fill the vacuum and provide my soul some solace. The hunt for the treasure house of truth lies unfulfilled. I want to start afresh but the past haunts me. Sooner or later I will be over with this intense phase and will move on with life because at the end of the day show must go on.

Those One hour ..., Part 1

It was a cloudy morning with mild breeze caressing the soft cheeks of her. There was no trace of Sun in the sky which made the January morning chillier. She was in the town for a week almost after a gap of ten long years and was waiting for the Chandigarh Express, going back to the place where she had been living for all these years after she left Lucknow.

She was sitting all alone in the extreme right corner of the platform as her train was late by an hour. It made her think about the swift changes which her hometown went in past ten years. Everything changed, from her neighbors to childhood friends, from her school to college, even the platform where she was sitting had changed a lot. Glimpses of her past were swinging in her mind.

Her tryst with past was cut short when suddenly someone took her name. She was amazed to hear her name as it has been long since she left Lucknow and hardly anyone knew about her visit.

She looked around and was stunned to see him.

It was he, her husband; they haven’t seen each other since ten years and almost know nothing about the other one. Her eyes went wet due to sudden outburst of emotions deep hidden in her heart for all this years. The time stood still, moving trains stopped and everything for her came to a standstill.

They studied in the same college, met accidentally, their love blossom and one day the only son of the college professor proposed the only girl of a government employee. They got entangled on the eve of Christmas ignoring initial resistance from both the families and lots of melodrama.

Five years later she left her husband house without even letting him know for once. Things were not going soft from last one year and finally she took the drastic step. His business cost him much, it has eaten away all his property and now it even ate away his marriage. Tirelessly when he came home he found the doors locked. Today, he had suffered huge losses which have broken away all his hopes he once had. He wanted peace and looked for solace in his wife’s arm. But, she was gone forever, never to return.

A week later he got a legal notice asking for divorce. He was a broken man, who refused to fight anymore. He tried his best to console her but all went on to deaf ears. Willingly he gave whatever little he had left with him to her. That day in court was the last time they both saw each other. She left for Chandigarh the very next day.

The concerned authority announced that Chandigarh Express was going to arrive soon.

Is That YOU...??

I hear a Sound,
feel a rankle,
Sometimes....,
It Stimulates me,
more often,
It wakes me....,
Yet, I see no one there...!

It's been quite long since you left,
Yet...,
I'm waiting for you..,
I'm waiting to feel your tender touch,
waiting to listen your mindless giggles;
My heart pumps only for you,
My mind thinks only of you...!

Still....,
I know,
you are far gone,
But..., then WHY....???
every-time the winds blow my hairs,

I ask myself...,
Is that YOU...??

I JUST FORGET....

At times, I should have shown my care for you,
Should have given you the freedom,
you always want...!

Should have taken you out for the dinner
a luxuries ride...!
At times, I acted like a nerd,
Killing your dreams, desires and passion

Forgive me, for the wrongs I did,
For the words I said,
And even for the things I never did...!

I should have said I miss you,
Should have laughed with you,
smile in your joys,
And, cried in your pains...!

Now when you are gone,
Life doesn’t excites me any more,
It pinches me hard
And strucks me badly,

All ‘coz I just forget to say I LOVE YOU.

No Girlfriend

Note: This post is a work of fiction; any resemblance to dead (me) or alive (Vivek S) is mere coincidence. It's a result of enigmatic conversation in between me and Vivek S. I never took his approval for publishing his name and for which I don’t have any regrets (but, certainly have fears of being killed).

So, have you given it a thought that why are you single? I guess you never, and until recently me too. Here are few points which may help you in solving your curiosity.

  •  You never had the courage to approach the girl you liked.
  •  You are always preoccupied with your work.
  •  You think more of the society than of yourself.
  •  You like the most beautiful girl of the college, who is always busy in accepting nominations (proposals), so ignored you.
  •  You neither failed nor topped the class, making it hard to get recognize.
  •  You have a strong liking for Mahatma Gandhi, simple living and high thinking.
  •  You love tension free life.
  • You love and value your money.
  • You can't talk idiotically for hours.
  • You can't handle the aftermath of breakups.
Lastly, ( and important of all) you are a fellow blogger like me.

Tryst with Honesty

I studied way back in school that Honesty is the best policy. Not only my teachers, but also my parents taught me the same thing again and again. I’m lucky to be brought up in an environment which always stood up with the saying. So, gradually I was convinced and started thinking on the same lines. I was also told that the path of honesty is not a bed full of roses. It’s not easy to follow and it needs a strong determination and will power.

Earlier, I thought why people don’t stick with the path of honesty. It’s the simplest path to follow; you don’t have to conjure a story. Just do what is right. Then, I myself met with an incident. This post is all about my tryst with honesty.

This happened with me in the last semester, somewhat in the middle of September. I was busy preparing for my first internal exams. I guess, Industrial Electronics was the second or the third paper. Trust me; I was full of goose bumps as the syllabus was wide and hard. But, the whole night of studying made me confident to face the exam.

I was happy after seeing the question paper. I knew almost all the answers. But then, God had reserved something for me in advance which was just waiting to be bombed. Hardly, 5 minutes after I got such joyous feelings I felt something vibrating in my jeans right side pocket. Oh my God, I was dead, Shit. Such feelings came in me when I finally made it what was vibrating. I was sitting in the examination hall with mobile in my pocket. Wasn’t it great…! OOppss… What to do now? It was bit strange on the part of the examiner that till now she wasn’t able to find out what was making the burr sound.

I was now left with two options, isn’t that was great… I was in the middle of a tragedy and still viewing the whole thing objectively. So, the first option was to sit around quietly, make no noise and continue doing the paper until I get caught. Second one was bit daring; It was to stand and tell the truth to the examiner. You guess it wrong, I choose the second one. Yeah, I know you can call it as suicide and me a fool.

Why I choose the second option? Simple, that was something I have been brought up by. I have never been taught to run from my mistakes. I did make a mistake of not checking my jeans pocket and bringing the mobile inside the examination hall. That was something against the rule book. Also, till then I have met teachers who rate honesty more than any other thing. Hardly 5 minutes had passed, so I thought examiner would understand my point, would be pleased by my honesty and would allow me to continue with my paper. But, nowadays teachers are not the same which they used to be few years back. Teaching has become a profession and people get into it for the sake of money not for inculcating principles in the mind and soul of students.

My mobile was snatched, I got it later on (easily), and I was shown the doors. Luckily, we have three internals in a semester out of which only two are considered. I lost the respect for the teacher, I happened to met her once; She said, “I lost faith in you”. I replied, “Something very similar happened with me, I didn’t lost faith in you, but teachers in general”.

This incident got me puzzled and vexed up for days, I kept thinking whether honesty is of any use in this world.  But, then how can I leave something which my parents taught me? I’m still following the path of honesty… Let’s see what’s waiting next?

A Message cum Greeting

Hi, after several weeks of high intensity posts I'm back with a lighter one.

Please Note: This post is a work of fiction, any resemblance to living or dead is purely coincidental. Incidences described are merely for the sake of article formation.

Like every year this time too my inbox was flooded with many of those New Year Greetings.  I won’t be getting into detail of each and every message(greeting). But, among them one message touched my heart. That was from my one time best friend. I knew you might be puzzled that how can Rachit use the word ‘one time best friend’, best friend is always a best friend( that’s why he/she is a called a best friend). But, then it’s Rachit life which is full of such weird notions. So, getting back and confining myself just to the message. From past 4 to 5 months I have lost all contact with her. Our relationship took a complete U-turn and we became acquaintances from one time best friend. I guess it’s all a part of life.

Uff, I’m sorry again, I won’t put my personal life in it all over again. So, that message obliged me to think for a while about the importance of New Year. Certain days and dates like Birthdays, Valentine Day, Friendship Day, and Anniversary in general have the calibre of bringing a positive change in people relationship. Many people will argue that there is no need of celebrating a particular day for friendship when we can express our love each and every day. I totally agree with them. But, don’t you think that in todays fast pace life we need an excuse even to disturb our most love buddy?

And, mind it; it can act as an adhesive for broken down relationships.
